[Story & Private to Yuya]
Akaba Reiji looked up to his computer's mainframe, the giant luminous flowing orb of steel and circuitry, his hands running over the guard rails anxiously. The anxiety and the disgust were both eating at him.
It had started simple enough. He and Serena had noticed Reira had been growingly off. Could of been some trigger or event setting them back emotionally, but that could be worked over, especially with Serena. Reiji loved his younger sibling, but years of both of their parents and their business had kept him, well. Rigid. Stiff. Cold. Serena had said it gave him the demeanor of a mobster. Which he never quite got how. But she did insist he did sometimes word things in a way that gave people the impression they'd be having a trip at sea with concrete shoes.
But, Reira's behavior was the start of it. Then the mentions of people remembering things that couldn't of happened, or feelings of memories missing. That had led him into looking at the computer mainframe of Leo Corp's Head Quarters. What had shocked him is that quite a bit of information, beyond surface level things, was just gone. Where money had gone. Empty project and file reports.
From there, he remembered his father had developed technology. Technology to dig up suppressed memories, or as his father claimed absurdly, 'past lives'. He had his staff pull it out, dust it off, turn it back on... And test it on himself.
What scraps he saw alarmed him. A war. A war started by his father. Giant robots that leveled cities. Airships that crossed worlds. Other worlds. The fact he had a satellite in orbit. And the worst: Certain feelings for the girl who was now his sister. Feelings that made him queasy...
'Enough of that trail of thought...' He thought to himself gripping the railing.
He quickly had that satellite accessed. Apparently for whatever reason, this satellite carried information of another world. Did he do it? Had the world been changed but whoever had done so just simply ignored it? Were they incompetent? Lazy?
He had lead the Lancers into other worlds. Through Synchro. And split up to Xyz and Fusion, and ultimately, they had faced down two forces that Leo Akaba, his father was ultimately responsible. A ghostly goddess emulating his half sister, Ray, the basis of his his sister, Serena. And a demon dragon, called Z-ARC, a monster born of Yuya and his counterparts, or rather now, his brothers. It had been stopped, through a huge massive effort, but only barely. And at quite a bit of cost.
Those ghosts. Those echoes of another world. What Leo had speculated was once an original Dimension, but others believed with a parallel world, or even the 13th Dimension of the Branes that created this world and the Duel Monster Worlds. ... And what was worse, he realized, the Ghost of Z-ARC had fled. Fled into Reira. And he sincerely doubt he or Serena could do anything about it. Likely, the only ones that could do anything about it...
Were the shards of Z-ARC themselves.
He'd have to ask Sakaki Yuya and his doubles, no. His brothers. For help...
Akaba Reiji took a deep breath before pulling out his smartphone.
[Private to the Sakaki Brothers]
I'd like to talk to you four about something. Please hear me out.
Re: Event
And that you're a doofus.
I swear to god, Reiji...
Re: Event
What's this about mecha goddesses?
*this is absolutely not what she expected coming into here*
Re: Event
Re: Event
I have absolutely no idea what's going on.
Re: Event
Yuri's surprised to see Serena here. Not surprised she's spouting nonsense.
"... what's even going on here?"
Re: Event
Re: Event
Or you can have my brother's. Mine will naturally be more interesting.
Re: Event
Re: Event
And your version will make it sound like you're trying to squeeze high interest loan repayments out of them!
Re: Event
Re: Event
And someone is suffering because of it.
Re: Event
The worst part about this is Yuzu didn't like me in this other world. And Yuri over there was a creep.
::Points over to you, Yuri. Yes. You.::
Re: Event
How do you know this at all in the first place, huh?
Re: Event

...
::Pauses.::
Yes, I deserve that.

*Yuya's got a rather concerned, yet confused expression on his face.*
So all this suspicion about lost memories was true? Our memories were really altered?
(2/2)
What else can you tell us about these altered memories and the 'real' memories we are supposedly missing?
Re: (2/2)
I'm not sure what you're exactly asking, but as near as I can tell, two universes were merged together at the end of the "War" we were all involved in, because of my father's haphazard use of technology was ripping the cosmos apart by destabilizing and violating strings, causing a breakdown of the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, thereby causing the world to unravel.
Which was worsened by another machine my father developed to forcibly rip apart timelines and cosmologies, and reassemble them. That was being used by.
A, my father to recreate his perceived home reality, a dead world or a 13th member of the 12 Dimensions, or whatever he believed.
B, RAY, the amalgam born of bracelets my sister, Hiiragi and two others wore in this other world, that near as I can tell was out of its mind, thinking itself the caretaker of humanity, to the point it wanted to snuff out humanity from ever getting past pounding rocks.
C, Z-ARC, a thing born of you four Sakaki brothers in a berserker state to simply cause everything to end.
RAY and Z-ARC are what caused--
Re: (2/2)
You're babbling.
Some fourth party at the end of the mess, god knows who, tried to bind everything better. Our memories get really 'scratchy' or 'glitchy' the further you get to this whole mess ending.
The RAY thing is speculative. It was practically insane from what I control, a giant geyser of energy, with practically no mind, incoherent and crazy. That managed to seize control of an airship and turn itself into a giant robot. Reiji's making guesses as to its motives, if any.

... Wait, you said that someone is suffering because of all of this. Who's suffering?

::Sighs, looking down at the office's plush dark carpet.::
They're. Not. Well.

And you said that-- that whatever this "Z-ARC" thing is, it's made up of... *Yugo points to his brothers*
Us?

*Yuya suddenly realises something which... really didn't make him feel comfortable.*
Ever since Reira came back to the SJL, they've been avoiding me completely. I tried talking to them on the first day they came back and they seemed scared to even be around me, even though they seemed like they wanted to talk but just... couldn't.
You're saying... this is the reason why? Because they absorbed this 'Z-ARC' that was... us?
